INTRODUCTION 
(This was recorded at the All Tomorrows Parties music festival 
christmas 2005. I carried a dictaphone around all weekend. At 
the time of this recording i was walking around in the freezing cold 
looking for a familiar face.) 

i keep thinking this dictaphone is a telephone 
i can't make calls to anyone on it 
sigh 
can't make calls to anyone on it 
i can however record my voice 
and play it back to them later 
if thats what i want to do 
but what i want to do is talk to them 
and them to talk to me 
now so we can organise things for the present 
this is only a one way transmission machine
